Goodie Bags – one of our most popular activities

SPRING DISTRIBUTION DATE: Thursday, April 29, 2010
LOCATIONS:
Koldus Building (2 shifts): 10 am - 4 pm
Duncan Dining Hall: 10 am-1 pm
West Campus (Wehner Hall): 10 am-2 pm

FILL THE BAGS: We will fill 265 bags on Wednesday, April 28, 4-6 pm at Aggie Park. We invite Moms to gather to help fill the bags. We fill bags with homemade cookies (the most popular treat), canned soda, juice boxes, bottled water, crackers, candy, microwave popcorn, cocoa mix, trail mix, peanuts, pudding cups, fruit cups, cereal bars, Nutri-grain bars, beef jerky sticks, candy, raisins, and any other snacks you donate. No two bags are the same because we have such a variety of items that are donated by YOU. You might even consider pens, highlighters and other items to help with studying.

To do this, we need your donations. RoseMary also accepts cash, which she uses to purchase more treats.

INSTRUCTIONS FOR HOMEMADE COOKIES/BROWNIES: Please put 2 large cookies or 3 medium cookies in each ZipLoc bag and bring the bags to fill the bags on April 28.

DELIVER THE BAGS: Then a group of Moms travels to College Station to deliver them on the next day. The Koldus location will be in shifts to allow more students to pick up bags and to allow Moms time to get away for a visit with their Aggie. The shifts will be from 10am-1pm, and 1-4pm.

Students can go to the location most convenient to them. The bags are FREE and a simple way to let our Aggies know we are thinking of them and wishing them "Good Luck" during their Finals week.

All bags will be given away ONLY TO STUDENTS FROM BEXAR COUNTY. Any bags left over will be given to an Aggie Spirit club to be determined by our President and the Board.

[If your Aggie mentions that other Clubs provide backpacks, tell them those Moms pay for theirs. We are providing these bags FREE TO EVERY BEXAR COUNTY AGGIE!]
